@matuzalem And yet Bill Gates refuses to acknowledge the huge e waste crisis he is about to create in October 2025 because the majority of computers and laptops will be rendered useless because of Windows 11s strict requirements. Not only that, he was the main architect of the unreasonable pricing for Windows 11 PCs which means many people cannot afford to replace their old systems and are scrambling for alternatives.
@lisaannlm I see that as a real opportunity for FreeBSD & Linux. They run well on older machines.
@lisaannlm but really just BSD because Microsoft owns the Linux Foundation
@lisaannlm ***70%*** of the companies on the Linux Foundation Board are GPL violators, via Bryan Lunduke
You know ... VMWare, Sony, Intel, Huawei, Fujitsu, Tencent, Qualcomm, Panasonic, Microsoft, Samsung, Red Hat, or Oracle 😭
@matuzalem Looks like I better consider non Microsoft non Linux options, I know people say tablets and Chromebook is limiting but for what I need it's probably a better alternative.
@matuzalem 🤣 😂 💩
<< Microsoft, the master of enterprise IT and they thought, if OpenAI, a for-profit entity masquerading as a non-profit, can rake in the data from everyone while keeping its models/code locked up tighter than Fort Knox, then, I shall declare Windows the model of "openness"! Why not? After all, who needs source code, security, and privacy when you can beat your friends in the latest and greatest games? That is the only logical explanation || they are just 🤡>>
