My late ex's dad served multiple tours in Vietnam and elsewhere throughout SE Asia. Got drenched with AO constantly. He'd told me that vets who'd done tours in that region and had been laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery regularly had to have their plots re-sodded because AO was such a vicious defoliant. While paying our respects there back in '97, he knelt at his dad's plot and pried up many fried layers to prove it. His dad had been cremated, yet AO was still active. 😰
@fugitive247 @matuzalem OMG that’s insane!!
We just saw a friend the other day who served and he said he Just got a letter from the VA asking him to come in to get tested for agent orange. He’s 78 years old. 🙄
@fugitive247 @Superstitionsee I have a very rare autoimmune condition probably from it.
With his poor motor skills, poor kid sure wasn't the most graceful. Even if the whole world was Nerf & bubble wrap, he'd have a bruise somewhere.
As a toddler, not quite potty trained yet, one time he plopped his pull-up padded fanny down on one of those big Duplo type Legos. Had the imprint on his butt for nearly two weeks. Just one of countless instances where Florida CPS harassed my family relentlessly. Finally left the state just to keep our family together.
@matuzalem @Superstitionsee
Wouldn't doubt it. Feels, hon.
My son had such a wild patchwork quilt of issues. One was a severe dairy allergy, specifically to the milk protein casein, which wasn't properly detected/diagnosed for many years. EpiPen City, for real -and- in Florida, which for parents of special needs kids is practically a flaming target for CPS. Add to this a medically diagnosed bruising disorder... What a f*cking nightmare.
