Swallows circling
Lime-green stubble-fields
Struggling against
A strong south-westerly
Singing in the wires
Drizzly mist
in silken sheets
Washes my face
as I climb
Little flocks,
Linnets, pipits perching
Holding tight to purple thistles
And the golden glow
Of goldenrod
Lights the grey morning.
