@malice Ain’t that the truth.

My experience has been... kinda in between, really. I make friends with women first, and then sometimes it turns romantic.

I don’t really get much opportunity to date strangers. I don’t like bars or clubs or parties, and I’m a bit picky (don’t like drinkers or smokers or conservatives, stuff that I feel either informs me about them or their behavior, I keep a pretty open mind about physical stuff)

@GlytchMeister @Virusb23 @evistre I pretty much only date strangers. Sometimes people I'm acquainted with online or whatever, but never anyone related to what passes for my social circle. I like being able to go out without ever running into any of my exes.

I also tend to relocate a lot (between states, overseas, etc.) so it comes with the territory.

@malice

I guess we have different definitions of “friend”. Online people can become my friends just as easily as meatspace people, and with how my life has been going lately, I have more major friendships with online folks than meatspace folks.

As for the question of exes... I haven’t had to worry about that, I’ve only had amicable breakups so far and I’m still friends with them, and it hasn’t caused problems.
