How funny would it be if Manchin changed his vote to "no" just to spite Slackjaw Jr.?

Would never happen in a million years - Slackjaw Jr. is actually correct in his opinion of Manchin - but that would be the mic drop of the century.

@dj_daem0n No, she's just posturing. She doesn't have to vote "present" for a friend, she's purposely making sure her no vote doesn't have any effect.

@dj_daem0n Alaska (I used to live there) has a sexual assault rate that is roughly double that of any state in the Lower 48. It is a *massive* problem there. Alaska is deep red, but it's not GOP red. It's more a "leave us the fuck alone, let us have all the guns, we don't bother with religion, live and let live" kinda red.

It would have been very tough on Murkowski to vote yes on Kavanaugh given the issues of her state. Make no mistake, she is just pandering.

@dj_daem0n @malice this is difficult for me. I always say politicians should vote to represent their constituents and not their party. In this case even I personally would want him to vote No, but if West Virginians overwhelmingly support a Yes vote I can't fault him for voting that way just because it's not the way I prefer.

@dj_daem0n @malice I don't necessarily think he is good. I am just thinking that if I was from West Virginia and most of the people felt one way and he voted the other, I would be all over him for voting for his party and not to o the wishes of the people in his state.

@malice I feel almost inclined to thank Jr. No rewards for voting against decency.
