I complain about the cold of Phoenix. Having to wear anything more than my usual V-neck t-shirts tucked into freshly pressed pleated twill shorts is annoying. Jackets, sweats, socks, ugh. 🤣

Too damn depressing just walking out the front door in Belleville. The towers were due east of me. Bro lived in SoCal and asked me if I'd help them out with renovations...I took the next Greyhound west...never flew before then, wasnt about to start.
Moved to PHX area late 2005..."not shoveling" convinced me to stay. Lots to see in AZ alone. Maricopa Co is 500 sq miles bigger than all of Jersey. Still discovering places.
@RJMay3 I'm sorry you had to go through all that but it seems like you're happy with the move. I definitely get the "not shoveling" part. I hope you continue to discover new places. 😊
@lisalisadoodle I live very close to Luke AFB...F16s and F35s do turn and burns overhead, so just the right kind of noise for me.
I would take mental health rides up to Prescott, Jerome, and Sedona...yelling Hi to free-range cows in fields I passed...simple solitude.
I left a lock of love on the London Bridge for my recently deceased brother. It was the first place I stepped foot in AZ, and he took me on that first trip. Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Winslow...many, many places to see.
