David Crosby, an original member of the Byrds and a founder of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, has died. He was 81.
Mr. Crosby was inducted twice into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He brought jazz influences to both groups, in the process broadening the possibilities of vocally driven folk-rock.

@pennyphilosophy I was 11 and had a pair of metal skates. While skating my feet went up into the air and I fell on my back knocking the wind out of me for the first time. While laying there and wondering if I would ever get my breath back. You never forget that, That's how I feel about the world we live in now.

@MLClark That is a thoughtful, interesting essay. I'm with you to a point. I have had similar requests to pray for someone. I am not religious. But, I "pray." Not to god. I believe all the energy in the universe is part of us. I tap into it.
