I know that when you've been on a platform for years, made friends, built alliances and communities, leaving it can be very hard.

But it's good to remember that nothing is permanent; all things, good and bad, pass away. In their wake, new things are built. You can't recreate things that have disintegrated, but you can build new things that are as good or better.

@DavidSalo You're right. But, funny thing is, like the old cliche, you never know what you've got until you've lost it. I have so many good memories of people I've met and things I've seen, and learned. There is really nothing like it for immediacy of world happenings and people who are leaders. I'm not sure have you build something like that. Maybe as time passes counter.social will become more of what we've known.
