Being able to tell someone that they are no longer welcome in our world after they hurt us in a deeply vulnerable time has to be one of the most difficult things I've done in a long time. 10+ years of friendship that they threw away for nothing. Being able to say "I'm choosing me because you didn't" feels very much like reclaiming my voice. Putting the past to rest and moving forward. Some people don't deserve to be in your space, even if they were for a long time ❤️

I had to remove someone from our space last summer, for roughly parallel reasons. It's difficult and painful, but so much better than continuing to endure unhappiness!
