@stueytheround thinking release print first and then web afterwards at a bit later date, mostly because there is something special about being able to physically hold it in your hands.

@stueytheround We even got a bunch of archival boards/bags to go with them. โค๏ธ โค๏ธ โค๏ธ

@lilyunsub

Itโ€™s inspiring, honestly. & rad youโ€™re going the physical copy route as well - all publishing methods are valid but, yeah, thereโ€™s really something special about having a physical copy of the comic you made in your hands ๐Ÿ™Œ

@throwing_mirrorshade exactly, and we've bought a printer, high quality papers and inks in order to do that. They'll be A5 size so slightly smaller than traditional comics but it cost $100 less to get all the paper, inks and printer to be able to print them on demand than it would to order and ship 100 copies here. This way it gives us options to do more of what we love and you know its been made here, by us, and sent directly. There isn't a middle-man and we get to do it how we wanted to โค๏ธ

@lilyunsub

A5 is great. I have a handful of Tsutomu Nihei books at that size, among others - itโ€™s a perfect format to just have on you. & your cover is a grabber. Iโ€™m not familiar with your artist, but, dude is good.

@throwing_mirrorshade he is fantastic, been absolutely blown away by his work and he's a part of phdm now (so we're collaborating on a few projects moving forward). Literally cried seeing one part brought to life cos it hit home like a tonne of bricks. Surreal feeling. Feels super exciting to be writing and working on, already started writing chapter two โค๏ธ

@lilyunsub I love it. Keep going ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

(& not for nothing, and Iโ€™m a difficult old comic curmudgeon so take this with a grain of salt but, it took me ~15 years to find a collaborator with whom I felt I was making meaningful work with. It sounds like you should keep this dude around. & Iโ€™d love to see more of his work if heโ€™s sharing anywhere.)

@throwing_mirrorshade he has some up on his facebook pages (which are linked on his phdm artist profile), he's working on a 2d side scroller atm too. It was some of his previous work that really got me keen to commission him and when we pitched the overall concept he was super keen to work on it, developed a friendship from there and he absolutely nailed the script we sent so definitely feels like we work well together! Feel like it was meant to happen with how in line our work is.

@throwing_mirrorshade he has a fascination/obsession with teddy bears in a lot of his work too so when we showed him phdm and our vision for it he was completely sold from the get go haha

@lilyunsub

I peeped more of your artistโ€™s work on FB, he really is good. Comics can be hard, thoughts to words to images, so aye, it is pretty special when a collaboration clicks just right. Rare, imo, but again Iโ€™m a cranky old mule. Looking forward to what yโ€™all have coming.

(& you all have a pretty intriguing collective going, with PHDM.)
