so Cayde has apparently taken a job as a social media worker without my knowledge. on one paw, good he's finally earning his keep. on the other, he's probably going to get more of a following than me.

went to an old-time drive-in restaurant tonight in the shadow of Mt. Rainer. really good locally sourced food. all that was missing was the '50s-style music.

This is apparently what constitutes an empty food bowl and all the protestations that such a situation warrants.

In my quest for the perfect meatball, I experimented from my previous Meatballs in the Slow Cooker recipe by changing up the ingredients and working on a new sauce. The results were better than the previous recipe, and the sauce tastes much more flavorful.

since K has been gone (left on Wednesday), I think I've turned feral. Not cooking. Eating pizza and snacks. Cats are laying in places where they aren't supposed to lay. Beginning to ponder cave drawing on the walls.

enjoying the Fallout 4 update quite a bit. smoother graphics actually took a few moments to get used to seeing. but the VATS is now all wonky. goes from 95 to 0 to 95 to 0 to ... well, you get the idea. very hard to reliably target. is this XCOM?? @Bethesda @bethesdagamestudios

just got a text from my "boss," who was in a meeting and urgently needed me to go purchase ebay certificates from nearby stores.

when asked for the business reason, my "boss" has strangely gone silent.

I love diner food. There is something comforting and tasty about certain food that you can only seem to find in diners. But I can’t always make it there, so why not make that great diner food at home. Greasy spoon not included.
