pretty cool DnD night tonight as the party closes one chapter and opens another. creepy people, strange writings, and a fleshy pyramid. and they are only at the beginning! should be lots of fun as they discover what will challenge a party of 7th level characters.

Making soup from scratch, especially when the weather turns cold, provides so much home and hearth feelings. The aroma of a soup that cooks all day long in a crock pot is almost maddening and enticing.

when I get job alerts for a corporate paralegal position, I wonder if the failure is in my resume or their search functionality. not saying I wouldn't be good at that, but it isn't along my overall communications job goal path.

how is it possible that there has not been a collaboration between Tabasco and Taco Bell ?? it seems so natural, and I would be all over that!!

Happy New DC Comics Day. The Flash and Batman: The Brave and The Bold are my selections for the day. And after reading Flash, I truly am earning my nickname in our comic chat of The DC Whisperer. I called this reveal weeks ago and was dismissed by fellow chat members.

In heartbreaking, but now familiar news, Sony cuts about 900 people (8% of the workforce).

Cuts will impact Insomniac Games, Guerrilla, Naughty Dog, Firesprite, and more, and closing PlayStation’s London Studio.

Which makes the previous announcement of no first party games from Sony until 2025... (nods head).

as I wait for my next comms/PR gig (if you have an opportunity, let's talk!), I'm going to put my knowledge to use. I'm volunteering with Seattle Children's Extra Life Advisory Board as their Tabletop Relations Lead, helping game shops to raise funds for Extra Life. This deepens my relationship with Extra Life, something that has been going on since 2011.

Breakfast for dinner will never not be a thing in . There is something fun about taking breakfast dishes and making them into some other meal. This one is simplicity itself, but you can make it complicated, if that’s your thing. You do you.

done banging my head against Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot last night/this morning. reading up, it is designed more for co-op, and I'm a solo player. no worries. moving on The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned completed. Who knew villainy could be so gross at the end? Moving on to Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot.

So great to discover that your neighbor makes and sells homemade tamales. Chicken with green chiles and pork with red sauce. So amazingly delicious.

due to the new movie trailer, I've been playing the first Borderlands this weekend, beating the Destroyer very early Sunday morning (yes, that's why I was up at 3 a.m.). the game still holds up as a blast after 15 years. moving on to The Island of Dr. Ned (DLC). so many zombies.

If you’ve got chips and cheese (and whatever else you want), you’ve got stand up nachos on a dreary day. The habanero sauce is not optional (for me). 🌶️

Didn’t go to bed last night (this morning) until 3 am. Still having my typical MagicCon experience without actually being in Chicago. And without having all the fun with my friends and the MTG media/community. 😢

I have been known to twist classic recipes. But tomato soup and grilled cheese is THE comfort classic. I can’t change that.

I don’t normally make it a point to go to a restaurant for an appetizer, but these Reuben egg rolls are worth it. I’ll be back for these (and a refreshing 🍺).

it can be hard (and wow, do I know this to be true), but slowing down and enjoying time spent with a friend can be the most rewarding time I can spend. I have been doing that more recently but not nearly as much as I should.
