I don't like crawfish but I learned a neat trick yesterday from a local who does: after peeling them yourself, add salt to the soap when you wash your hands to get rid of the smell.

@radar323 personally I like pigeons. I sympathize with their eternal quest for French fries.

I don't know how accurate this is, but now I'm depressed.

I finally twisted my ankle far enough to pop the joint, after 10 weeks. It was exquisite.

The hardest part of knitting is waiting for a blocked project to dry. The second hardest part is waiting for a gauge swatch to dry. Though if I’m being honest, I rarely wait for the gauge swatch to be dry before I measure it.

The JK in JK Rowling is because she’s a joke now.

Straight up forgot I’m supposed to be on call for jury duty this week. I hope our jury office is forgiving 😔

I finished my sweater and blocked it, and now I just have to wait for it to dry (which I expect to take at least two days). I don't have the yarn for my next project yet so I feel sort of at a loss.

Today I’m thankful that my parents gave me a really good intuition for spotting bullshit disguised as truth, even when I can’t readily pinpoint why I suspect it’s bullshit.

“The Jews killed Jesus” is an antisemitic talking point, die mad about it

@b4cks4w unfortunately people who are considering "questionable accounting practices" in the first place may not be swayed by pro-social reasoning. People who are against paying taxes often don't care that their taxes fund roads and schools and post offices.

Started super cleaning the bathroom but got too tired before getting to scrubbing the floors. I'll have to come back to it later today.

@Eulimnadian we found one that would have worked (Merrick limited ingredient turkey pate) except the kitty didn’t like it too much. I’m hoping we’ll find one she likes more. We started with the Hill’s SD GI Biome food but it was very expensive AND she didn’t like it.

@Hashi thank you! I had elective surgery on my right foot about two months ago, so the recovery has been serious but the surgery was a good thing. I celebrated my new freedom with some of my favorite songs by my favorite band, Ignea.

In more uplifting news, I got to drive for the first time since my surgery today. It was weird getting to pick my own music again.

Hopping back on the cat food research merry-go-round. I weighed the kitties today to calculate their actual caloric requirements because they don’t seem to eat the amount the cans say they should. Then I spent like three hours looking at cat foods online, reading ingredient lists, and checking reviews. Finally I ordered one kind for the IBD kitty to try and another kind for the other two to try. *wipes sweat from brow*

Stubbed my toe, THE toe, on the dog’s leg. I was walking behind him and he stopped. Anyway, it hurt much more than it sounds like it would. It was already sore from mercilessly stretching the past couple of days because the surgeon told me on Monday that I need to work it harder. And tomorrow I have PT again. Maybe Friday I can let it rest.
