Can’t wait for January to start using my new Hobonichi planner 🤩

You haven’t had the full sci-fi con experience until you’ve been run over by 501st legion cosplayers, had a drunk person address you in fluent Klingon, and seen an anatomically explicit furry painting sell for more than its weight in gold.

I’d like to get back into World of Warcraft but I’m not sure when I’ll have the time with all the knitting I need to get done 🙃

I have a knitting backlog the way my dad has a reading backlog. I finished two hats in the last 7 days, I have two more to do, and then I have a specific sweater in mind that I already have the yarn for. After that I have the yarn for two additional projects, likely both scarves, that I’m trying to muster the motivation to work on. And then I have two or three more sweater patterns I want to make that I don’t have yarn for yet. And I have a half-finished knitted tee I need to complete.

And I’m certainly not thinking specifically of my shithead neighbor across the street whose German Shepherd puppy has escaped no less than three times since August because he is bored spending all his time alone in their backyard.

The vast majority of my Nextdoor feed is missing and escaped dog posts. I’m sure there’s no correlation with the prevalence in this neighborhood of leaving dogs unattended in the yard even when you have left the premises for an extended period 🙃🫖☕️

After spending so much time on big knitting projects like sweaters, it’s cool to go back to making hats and find that I can now turn one around in two days flat. Now I just need to do that three more times!

Who would have guessed that consuming nothing but coffee and spicy ramen all day might be bad for your digestive tract?

I really just need a job where I can vibe by myself and not have to interact with other humans, like… ever

One of those days where I always feel like I’m forgetting something no matter how many lists I make

Needed something I knew the words to while driving home from Thanksgiving so I made my husband listen to Chumbawamba for nearly two hours. We got through all of Tubthumping and WYSIWYG.

Looking forward to adding tablet weaving and making jewelry out of animal bones to my extensive list of hobbies I don’t have time for. But these are *productive* because I need more Renaissance Faire costume pieces 👀

Finished a knitting project, not as thrilled with the result as I was hoping to be, and now not excited about any of the three other knitting projects I have yarn for already. 😔

Optional additional rules:
4. Drink when the narrator says the sun is going down and the survivor may not last the night.
5. Drink when a plane goes overhead but doesn’t see them.

A drinking game for the Discovery series I Shouldn’t Be Alive, courtesy of me and my mom:

1. Drink when the narrator says “their condition was deteriorating rapidly [or by the hour, etc.]”
2. Drink when the reenactment shows a disgusting foot suffering from frostbite or injury.
3. Drink when the survivors have to drink something disgusting that isn’t water to stay hydrated.

The writing in this book I’m reading for my friends book club is soooo baaaad. Just look at this:

“Me?” Royce said; then a sudden shocked realization filled his expression and he glared at the wizard before him.

This sentence causes me physical pain to read:

‘Prior to his infamous moniker, "The Boston Strangler," DeSalvo had already been deemed various nicknames that coincided with his criminal history.’

Come on, People Magazine. You can do better.

Finished reading: Thief by Matt Colville. Giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I’m sad that the next book may never arrive.
Started reading: Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. So far so good!
