Latest update on Baker: Vital signs and tests are normal. He's getting X-rays done.
One of our cats is on its way to a 24-hour veterinarian. He hasn't eaten all day, and he's thrown up at the last three mealtimes. He's usually bouncing off the walls at this time of night, but for the past two days he's been lethargic. Right now he's laid out flat. The vet needs to see him stat.
The feral cats even have a heated water dish!
It's 29°F outside and our feral cats are tucked in and toasty warm, thanks to my wife's advance planning and placement of electric heating out there. Inside, our two ingrate cats are chasing each other around like it's the middle of the day. Dumb inside cats.
Oh - and my wife also set out a heated water bowl for the cats.
My wife is being extra nice to her feral cat colony during our cold snap. She's got five heated sleeping areas out back - a combination of heated exterior houses and heated beds inside a cat greenhouse. They should be fine when the sub-freezing temps hit tonight.
My wife is in the kitchen, making cat food for some of the not-so-well feral cats in the backyard. She's pureeing boiled chicken breasts in the food processor. Seriously, she cooks more for them than she does for the two of us. 😶
