Brewed another cup of Organic Drago Blend, this time using the "Strong" setting on ye olde neuwe Keurig machine. There is a noticeable difference in taste and texture - not unpleasant, just a feeling of "more" in the cup. Interesting.

Note: neither cup this morning used Coffee Tamer. I'll probably be sorry I didn't use it later.

Organic Drago Blend down the coffee pipe this morning. My coffee choices are somewhat limited at this time, but I'm making the most of them.

Mmmm. Crystal Light Tea with Lemon, mixed with Ribena Blackcurrant Cordial. A most pleasant drink indeed.

It's so frigging cold in this house that I'm relying on the coffee for inner heat. No, my wife won't let me turn up the thermostat. Hot flashes rule the roost.

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe in the coffee cup this morning. Playing fast and loose - no Coffee Tamer. Want to see what the effects will be first.

Nonpareil Yunnan Dian Hong Ancient Wild Tree Black Tea tastes better on a second infusion at a lower temperature (190F instead of the 200F I did initially - it's supposed to be at 195F, but my teakettle won't do 195F).

Tea Experiment Time!

Having my first cup of Nonpareil Yunnan Dian Hong Ancient Wild Tree Black Tea. Can't argue with Teavivre's description of the tea: Floral and fruity with a slightly woody aroma.

Meh. "Strong" brew has a bit more body to it. That's all.

Have drawn a "strong" brew of Sacred Grounds Nikiti Blend from ye olde neuwe Keurig machine. I don't understand what black magic the Keurig does to make its brew stronger, but I guess I'll find out when I taste the stuff, now won't I?

Coffee Tamer in full force on this cup.

Going off the charts this morning. Drinking Sacred Grounds Nikiti Blend coffee from the Keurig while I watch my neurotic cat chase absolutely nothing. I have Coffee Tamer - what I need is Feline Tamer.

Drago blend from the Keurig machine and FP2 from the Austrian Grand Prix. That'll wake you up. Go Haas!

Thank the maker that we're out of the crappy K-cups that came with the new Keurig machine! I can finally fire up a cup of Fresh Roasted Coffee's Drago Blend again. Oh, Drago, we missed ye so!

More Green Mountain crap through the new Keurig this morning. I hope that's the last of it. In other news, I had to order more Coffee Tamer. I've learned that I only need two packets instead of three, so I won't plow through this order so quickly.

Sort of waking up early here - after just a few hours' sleep. So, settling for a cup of genmaicha instead of the usual coffee. Got a good brew this time - not too bitter, good taste from the popped rice.

Still drinking the free stuff that came with the new Keurig. Ah, Caribou Blend, the tingling fresh coffee which brings you exciting new cholera, mange, dropsy, the clap, hard pad athlete's head. From the House of Caribou.

Yes, I've had better.

Mrs. Capt. says the replacement Keurig cost $125 at Costco. If it lasts as long as the original it's replacing, it'll be money well spent. It's been well over 10 years since we bought the original.

I got about a half a cup of coffee out of my 10+ year old Keurig v1.0 machine before it gave up the ghost completely. Mrs. Capt. is now panicking and being extremely grouchy at the same time. Looks like we're buying a new Keurig machine from Costco, if they've got one in stock. Pray for Mrs. Capt.'s sanity ... and my safety.

For example, I *wish* I hadn't just spilled hot coffee on my hand ...
