For the first time in many years, I'm going to get new glasses today. Having an eye exam first - will probably wind up needing trifocals, if what my old eye doctor said is true. After that, I get to go through the sheer and utter joy (note the sarcasm) of shopping for new frames with my wife. I need something lightweight and flexible, but she's as close to a miser as you can get without being one. Wish I could get Flexon again, but can't.
Ah, I wish I could - they're Flexon frames, but they've been through the wringer one too many times. I've faceplanted *hard* while wearing them twice - one time sent me to the emergency room and shattered one of the lenses. No, they're twisted beyond repair and constantly in need of adjustment now. I've got to have new frames, but the place I'm going to (that takes our insurance) doesn't sell Flexon frames, Sigh.
Leave your wife at home. The whole world sees your glasses.
@leejackson If you have old frames you already like, you can take them with you and have them put your new lenses in the old frames. :)
