Baker the cat's surgery was successful. The vet had to open him up in three places to remove all of the string, but he says he got it all. We'll see how he's doing in recovery later this morning.

@Kitty62862 Baker is still recovering post-op. He hasn't eaten yet. We went up and visited him in the hospital. My wife brought one of his blankets so he could have something with his personal smell on it. He immediately migrated from the vet blanket onto his home blanket, as you can see on the picture attached.

@leejackson That’s an excellent sign! I’m thinking he will probably eat by morning. He looks good.

@Kitty62862 He looked pretty miserable when we arrived. By the time we left, he'd perked up a bit.

@leejackson Because you brought him a piece of his turf. He may eat sometime tonight. Hope so.

@Kitty62862 My wife also brought him some Fancy Feast treat packets. He's normally not a treat eater, but he has been known to occasionally nibble on what she brought.

@Kitty62862 My wife is a cat lover in general. She's in charge of the Trap-Neuter-Return program for the City of Garland, TX (a Dallas suburb). Been running it for a little over a year now. She's always busy at the Garland Pet Adoption Center making sure the program runs smoothly and that the cats are taken care of properly.
