When I was young, maybe 15 years ago, I had thought about mailing in an idea I had to Elon Musk (I feel so stupid for this now) because back then the most I'd known about him was he set aside hundreds of millions to develop ideas sent in.

I believe we should have a heavily encrypted network designed to be utilized by kids and teachers, a network that requires active licensing to access that needs to be renewed. The network would be sorta like "training wheels" for the Internet.

Apparently Jordan Peterson is creating his own "university" filled with teachers he specifically agrees with & he's doing it in - I shit you not - the format of a social media application. So, not only will you be getting a completely garbage education, but he's encouraging social growth and peer to peer networking on the platform, so he will be able to data-mine the hell outta you and your conversations, & I believe he will use it to create a self sustaining echo chamber think-tank.

I'm tentative about sharing a story of happiness with my family considering all that is going on with the world but..I've been plagued with serious depression for years and never get many opportunities to genuinely express happiness so if it's okay, I'll take it right now.

I'm not sure if this is being talked about on here, but Facebook has stopped allowing people to share news in Canada because Facebook doesn't wanna pay out on the profits they get from the clicks.

Haven't posted in awhile, just curious, I've been having fun with AI image generators, how do people here feel about seeing those posted? I know some people are against AI image generation, but as someone without any artistic ability, I quite enjoy them and would love to share stuff I've generated!
