It's Thanksgiving, I'm stuck at work and one bad thing after another keeps happening.
I'd much rather be with *her* giving her attention and making a nice dinner for us, and treating her like the Queen she is. 3 more hours to go and probably a mac and cheese evening for me. Life needs to be better than this. It has to be.
Trying to figure out a timeline or find if anyone has truly documented Russia's long term cyberwarfare and social engineering attack strategy against first Ukraine in I believe 2012, leading up to the annexing of the Crimean Peninsula, perfecting those attacks and using them against the west. A big player in the social engineering attack was obviously RT, and with the world effectively deciding to ban RT networks the spread was mitigated but the damage still done.
Anyone know of any site?
For anyone interested, "Foxhole" on Steam is a top-down shooter with a WW1-WW2 vibe. It's a heavily logistics based MMO shooter that can really eat up a ton of time if you're not careful.
Having a high IQ is nothing special.
What you do with it, that's what makes a person's intelligence special. I got taken out of school and tested as a kid, 154, and did nothing with it. I feel like an idiot all the time because I see my mistakes happening in real time. That said, I can spot a smart bullshitter pretty easily.
Jordan Peterson has a high IQ. He's intelligent, eloquent, and he's a total moron. What he's chosen to do with it is make money money on people's fragile masculinity.
This is great!
Yet, probably not many news stations will cover it. Seems hating him instead of being constructive is the new normal.

With all these AI-Generating products coming out, I wonder how far off we are from an AI that generates an open source 2 liter or less engine, simple car design, that all the car dealers could then have shared access to? Imagine how affordable that would be for the economy right now! Pipe dreams tho
Does anyone have any tips for good, work from home career paths? Been doing the grocery gig for 16 years and feeling like I've hit my stress limit. I'm single dad with a daughter and I just don't see staying where I'm at in management, getting paid 30% above minimum wage after 16 years, to be a viable thing anymore. I went in straight out of highschool, but I'm great with numbers and have a head for technical details.
Any computer efficiencados have an idea what the culprit is in my problem?
Older rig, Windows 7 64 bit, but runs generally well. i5-2500k, GTX 670. Recently replaced power supply.
Games started inconsistently running in literal "slow motion", as in frame rate was fine but it was like someone slowed down time. Uninstalled, reinstalled, played different games, same issue. Persisted until I reset the PC. Buddy of mine who does game programming says I should start backing my stuff up.

Just one more day until vacation. New job position, working alone frequently instead of having a crew (due to transferring to a location in a reno) once we open up fully I'll have support again but man, I'm beat to a pulp. Everything is hurting. I think one of the worst things about the job is they use *extremely* dated software. We gotta use streamed virtual machines for all our office work. I keep telling them the servers feel like they're going to kick the bucket soon. I'm so tired and done.
Gamer! Canadian! Stupidly energetic!
Yes that's my cat Corusca, yes I gave her a Star Wars name since she was born on May the 4th.
