From the musings of my idle mind: there will be a massive butcher shortage in the coming years. Not nearly enough replacement of trained, skilled labor. I work in the meat industry, can tell you it's a dying field.

@lacuda Of course it's a "dying" field! Every day cows die by the hundreds of thousands just to keep the industry going. 😂

@lacuda The whole meat industry has become rotten in the US just so it can get cheap meat imports.

The Squeeze is on the farms, and the consumer, just so the large scale meat processors can maximize profit

So glad i am in contact with a local hobby farmer that raises his own cattle as "pets"

@lacuda yup, i took meat cutting in college 50 years ago (state university), but that isn't even offered anywhere in my state anymore

@lacuda drives me kinda nuts when i see the extremely limited types of cuts available in stores, never mind it's 99% beef or chicken
