The sheer level of downspeak in this article is insane. They speak of the audacity of a lower class thinking they can even simply be seated among the elite, just because seats are available. They try to claim it as if it's almost morally wrong, while not directly stating it, because it's ridiculous.

The classists are out in more force these days than they ought to be. I'm not saying the passengers deserved the perks of the seats - but just to get some sleep is a crime?

No, but occupying $2000 worth of better seat you never paid for and refusing to give it up when the flight crew instructs you to is totally a crime.

Never argue with a flight attendant, you can't win. If you don't like that, take the train.

But don't argue with the conductor, you can't win.
