@Katydiddance no enter key available either on my notebook. I type anything in the search and I get "next" option on my keyboard, which just puts me in the text box for a post. #bugreport

What @Katydiddance said: hit Enter key, search happens (is sluggish, be patient).

The "x" is just to clear the search. Try not to let the computer tell you everything has to be done with a mouse 😉

@kjo @FernLovebond tap the key that give you the numbers keyboard. Return or enter may be there.

@Katydiddance @FernLovebond Good thought, but nope. Darn. It must have something to do with the default keyboard on this pad then. No problem on my phone in the app. Thanks for helping. It's frustrated me for months.

Well poop. Sadly, that's not really a bug here on CoSo, so there's not much of a way to fix it--though I would say for accessibility, it'd be best if CoSo would stop swiping the "x" in for the 🔍 so you can just have both options: tap/click x to clear, or 🔍 to search. Seems like it'd be fine to keep.

@Katydiddance @FernLovebond no, that doesn't do it. I'm installing some new keyboards to see if one of those will work. So far neither the Samsung or Gboard work. (No smile key on my keyboard...depends on what is installed)

@kjo Oh, yes, you did say the Chrome/ Android thing. My bad.

On my OSK (Android also), there's still an enter key, the thing just changed to "Go" for the search. If you aren't getting that, see if you have a diff/better keyboard installed.
