Question for those that bake: OK I am trying to make my own pot pies bcuz the ones you buy have too little innards/crust. The 'deep' individual pie dishes are 1.5" deep. Can I use any oven safe item like french onion soup mugs?

@TrueBloodNet yes, but you'll ned to adjust baking time. do you have a thermometer? if so, bake until internal temp in the center is 160F (72C). you might need to cover the top crusts near the end so they don't over brown

@TrueBloodNet if you have a giant muffin pan, those work well for pot pies. they're deeper than burger bun pans. you can get silicone liners with tabs that make them really easy to remove from the pan too (or to freeze the assembled but unbaked ones)
