Well that was a fun evening. St Louis had an ice storm last night into this morning, and when I stepped out the door to go to work, I landed on my butt. Drug my butt back into the house, called work and went back to bed. When I got up this afternoon the leg didn't feel any better than it did after I hit the ground, and so I debated going to have some look at it and by the time I got around to it all the urgent care places has closed and so I ended up at the ER.
Diagnosis: broken fibula. God.
Did I mention that it's still raining? I could drive, because it was my left leg, but now I have to go to an ortho and pray that they don't immobilize my knee. The knee and the ankle don't hurt at all, it's just the calf. If they immobilize my knee I won't be able to drive and if I can't drive I can't work.
Gosh, I hope it's something that heals quickly.
I am glad and not glad at the same time that I don't have a dog right now.
