FYI, and YMMV, but I was having issues getting Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to my (now involuntarily) Win 11 laptop, as all I'd get was a grey screen. No extensions blocking, etc.
Turned off the screen saver I've been using for 24 years and now I can connect.
I'm positive that the screen saver is no longer supported (or if it is, it's up thru, like, Vista) so I'm sad to have to stop using it.
If anyone is having the same issue, try that. Worked for me.
@MakerWerks No, I'm not. Really not running anything weird.
This cropped up after the upgrade, so I'm guessing the wake/hold screensaver protocols have changed.
@MakerWerks Here's the one I've used for years and years:
@MakerWerks so yes, it was an old 3rd party one. Alas.
@kismatt Webshots was a screensaver application. When you said you turned off the screensaver, I assumed it was an old 3rd party screensaver application. I used to use different ones all the time back in the 95, 98, XP days.
