@Teej_Muk We stayed in Lincoln City (Taft) in Oct 2021!! Loved it!!

@kismatt
We stayed last night and tonight in a yurt at Devil's Lake State Park, near the D River wayside. Small park tucked away by the lake. It's a nice little spot! It was only $52/night here.

@Teej_Muk I have friends that live in Newport, and she volunteers at the Pacific Artists' Co-Op Gallery in Lincoln City.

We totally splurged and stayed at a Vrbo - there were 7 of us there for 5 days, so it was abt $350ish a person. I brought back lots of seaglass and some agate - and one of our party almost found one of the blown glass globes on the beach! We had a great time, would recommend. Wish it was closer to an airport, tho.

We flew in/out of PDX.

@kismatt
We live in the Portland metro area. At least it's a pretty drive down here! I think we're staying near that Co-op Gallery! We're in the Oceanlake district of Lincoln City.

@Teej_Muk Yep, the gallery is right next to the park! :D

We stayed at the south end of LC, just north of Siletz Bay.

The drive down from PDX was quite nice. The Evergreen Aviation Museum was a surprise, tho. and I could NOT believe what was in the big hanger! wow.

@kismatt
Ya we haven't been to that museum yet, for whatever reason...it's on our list tho! With all the smoke, etc this summer the outdoor planes were covered in dust when we went by the other day.

@Teej_Muk We didn't pay to go in, but they did let us into the gift shop. Which is under the wing of that surprise in the big hanger! I was geeking out for a while over that lol

@kismatt
I bet! It's a unique item, for sure! I've seen it thru the big windows, but not up close yet.

@Teej_Muk I hope you have a great time, and safe travels back to PDX :)

@kismatt
Thanks! We head back home tomorrow. It's been a nice relaxing time. We drove down to Depoe Bay today and saw a whale or two/several seals hauled out in Pirate's Cove/multiple brown pelicans. It was a great day.

@Teej_Muk We went whale watching too...the only clear day and it was great weather. Next day was high seas and foggy - I have a picture of Otter Rock Lighthouse and you can't see the actual building at all from the parking lot. lol

I'm landlocked, so seeing the Pacific was a treat :D

@kismatt
I can't imagine living anywhere else but here in Oregon. We've got a license plate that says Pacific Wonderland on it. Sums up our amazing state pretty well!
(Now, maybe Italy...🤔)

@Teej_Muk Another friend lives on a farm in Scappoose, downriver from PDX! They sell eggs and things, and are on FB: :D
