@Rustbelt_Dem My local paper used to have their own commenting, you would sign in on an account on their site. They got rid of that and went to FB accounts.

You wouldn't believe the drop in abusive posts! It was remarkable how much better they posted if their FB account was in jeopardy / ppl could see who you really were.

Haven't been back for a while. they put most of the site behind a paywall a few years ago. Sucks.
