We no longer have a yard, but you can see an example of the before and after of our old place. The grass was in the front and around our front courtyard, and in the backyard like a mini golf course. Relandscaped with xeriscaping. Saved all that water, water damage on my courtyard wall, and landscaping costs associated. Our summer water bill dropped from $560 to $180 per month, including the pool.

At what price grass?

My front yard got more dull, but the water waste ended.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN My grandparents lived in Las Vegas for about 15 years, and didn't have a lawn (desert!!) but my grandma had an ENORMOUS rosebush in the front that she'd water every day. It was shaded by the house most of the time.

Grandpa never complained about missing the lawn mowing while there, but did when they moved back to Missouri! Lots of lawn to mow here.
