Thinking about this thing with Trump and Loomer.
For the past year Trump's campaign team have been trying to keep him on script, trying to keep him from personal attacks, trying to keep him focused on policy.
I mean, it's not working but he feels stifled. "After all," he fumes, "I'm the genius. I'm the one that people love. I can shoot someone etc etc..."
They give him some rope since he's running against Biden, and it's close enough that he can't screw it up too bad.
Then suddenly he's running against Kamala Harris and her huge enthusiastic crowds, and his campaign needs to prod him harder. Forget 2020, forget Obama, forget your grievances.
But Trump is 90% grievances and 100% ego. He hates not being able to call people names. He hates not being able to insult people or threaten his perceived enemies. And honestly I don't think he's got enough brain power to understand or focus on policy.

If you ever watch him reading a scripted speech from a teleprompter, he's like a bored kid reading a book report he downloaded from the internet without having read it.
He grips the podium, eyes locked on the prompter, no inflection, just mumbling and droning away, mispronouncing words, and sometimes surprised with what he just read, because he never even looked at the speech before.

So here's Trump chafing at being told how to run his campaign. All his worst impulses are being squashed. People are telling him he's going to lose if he doesn't act more presidential.
Then along comes Laura Loomer, who treats him like the Godly figure he imagines he is. Trump is handsome, strong, intelligent, and better and WAY smarter than anyone else. She defends him against people who say he's stupid or a loser.

And she says things like "Kamala Harris's apartment complex stinks like curry" and "Kamala Harris gave blowjobs for her job" and "Dirty brown immigrants are animals and subhuman and they eat our pets."
She's like the little devil sitting on his shoulder going "Say the N word. You know you want to say it. And because you're God you CAN say it. Because you're so big and strong and handsome and everyone loves you and if they don't they're traitors."

As time goes on, he'll dump the people who are trying to keep him on track. And he'll surround himself with people like Laura Loomer who worship him and don't want him to change.
When he loses, they'll be out there saying how it was stolen from him again. And then later they'll write a tell all book about how he groped them and he stank like pee.
Because the ONLY reason Loomer is with Trump is for attention. When he loses, she'll have to do something else.
