I am sick and tired of hearing about our founding fathers and their greatness.

They would not have recognized or been intellectually or even morally equipped for the world we live in today.

They owned slaves. Weapons to be kept and borne were swords and black powder flintlocks. The black person was three fifths of a human being.

They were not saints. They sought to impose their will upon a fledgling nation.

It's time we stopped looking at them through history's flattering lens.
