I just got invited to a cookout in a few weeks. I’m already looking forward to coming home after.
It’s at a sort-of relative’s place and they’re fascist. I’ve avoided them for awhile but I should attend, since it’s mostly outdoors and covid’s not over. And some of the people who will be there I really want to see.
I will go, but only to keep a semblance of peace in the family. I think they are aware of the need to avoid sensitive topics, but those are now much bigger and numerous than ever.
@kenyatta2009 Maybe… even that can be touchy. They normally don’t make any effort to tailor meals to the guests’ dietary needs, even when they’re spending the night. So some people have to bring their own meals b/c they put dairy in Everything.
