I can tell our weather is changing again as my oldster fiddle (is approximately 115 years old) was sounding cranky this morning when I did my daily practice. Normally has a super sweet sound, but when the barometric pressure or humidity begins rapidly changing it lets me know about it! Pic is the peg box and scroll of this oldster.

@kendonnelly Thanks. Beautiful on the outside and even better sounding (most days!). I have the provenance on this fiddle which is nice. Original owner was a young man named August William Dettner who died as a young adult not long after WWI. His initials are inscribed on the underside of the scroll A.W.D. So I refer to this fiddle as AWD.
