It’s a May Miracle! Been dreading calling my health insurance to ask about my recent routine doctors visit. The EOB said my doctor and clinic weren’t in network, and I’d have to pay $2k for the visit (even vaccinations were denied).
Talked to a very helpful agent who looked it up, and agreed it was processed incorrectly, and he’d re-submit it! Total time on the phone? Less than 10 minutes.
Been putting off calling all day, because it had me all stressed out.
@LnzyHou Yes! They spoke and understood English clearly. Not their first language, but fully fluent. Understood my issue on my first explanation!
As I said, a miracle. My prior insurance would require roughly 10 hours of my time, and a minimum of 4 calls, and often a visit to the doctors office to clear up any mistake they made.
@kay_dub I once got an anesthesiologist bill for $4,000.00. I called to ask about it, and it turned out whoever entered the insurance code made a mistake- no bill. So it does pay to call I guess.
@kay_dub
And you got someone who speaks English? I dread calling any insurance because customer service is always foreign born.
It takes forever to explain the issue.
