Now that he's mostly thawed, the risk of turkey escape has increased substantially.

I won't let his lack of a head or feet lull me into a false sense of security. He could pounce right out of the stock pot, dash across the floor as fast as his drumsticks can carry him, shatter the glass in the back door, and then dart off into the forest—and all with little warning whatsoever.

So I think I'll be placing the lid on that stock pot before I give him his last bath ever. You know, just in case.
