My 97 years old mother calls this morning.
Tells me my sister thinks she has had a stroke.
I say "Gee'sh mom! That's what ambulances are for. She should be calling 911!"
That wasn't the thing to say.
Lots of tears followed.
I call the sister.
"How are you? Mom says something is wrong."
"I'm ok."
"Well, could you call mom back and let her know? She's a mess right now."
Not the right thing to say.
Apparently, according to her, I have deep-seated anger.
I do now.
Adam Schiff was on ABC This Week.
He's not seeking a leadership role in Congress.
!?
I'll bet he's arranging for an appointment to Feinstein's Senate seat because she's going to retire early.
(I know that her staff has mostly left and her dementia has worsened).
But, Gov Newsom is probably forcing him to endorse him for a Presidential run against Biden.
If he doesn't get the appointment it's because he stayed loyal to the President.
Hey @th3j35t3r,
If journalist were able to be immediately identified here, I'd configure a feed on them.
If they knew they could parachute into a large audience they might see CoSo as an attractive site.
Otherwise they have to start from scratch. That's, currently, Twitter's strategic advantage an CoSo could mitigate it.
I think @th3j35t3r is going to have to seriously consider establishing a team to run COSO.
If he gets hit by a bus, this place is kaput.
I also think that there is room to build a collaboration environment for people to managed the site collectively. Think of it as real time Wikipedia, but for customer support, dispute resolution, and product management.
Development and sys-ops will still need to be a dedicated person/group.
After working in tech and consulting for decades I'm still amazed at how primitively organizations are run.
Management still doesn't really know what is wrong and what to fix. Actually fixing it is far downstream from knowing what is wrong, but that's where all the effort usually is focused.
Elon is yet another example.
Painful to watch.
Andy Mullen is a friend of mine.
He wrote this article for the SF Chronicle that is very relevant about today's political culture.
"This is a flagrantly dishonest attempt to undermine the integrity of San Francisco’s elections, and the leaders engaged in this Trump-like rhetoric should know better."
