My friends from Denmark have arrived tonight. This is the AI image we made together and have displayed on our dining room Frame TV right now.

What the hell is "manhood" anyway?

I've never considered myself overtly masculine. At one point in my life I was a "Sensitive New-Age Guy". I shook off that moniker a while ago. But, I think I've avoided the "toxic masculinity" we see too much of today.

I just don't get how I could be derided by men when I eat my BBQ ribs with a knife and fork (yet finishing it off using my hands), and yet they are OK with not being able to fix their car, door, refrigerator, or paint a wall.

No respect.

I've been encountering too many "men" exhibiting the paraphernalia of uber-manhood (trucks, baseball caps, country music) that can't operate a screwdriver let alone show interest in things that would provide help or protection for those that rely upon them.

The view from my neighbor's window. San Francisco isn't all that bad! 🙂

Oh great
Just boarded a flight home. Landing in Oakland.

A tornado warning was just extended north to San Francisco.

Holding on tight!
Weeeeeeeee!
Woooooo Hooooooo!

I just finished replacing the noisy water pump for my over-built, ostentatious computer.

Now the office is quiet.

It's always an adventure.
I'm kinda wet.

I always try to improve the system every time I take it apart. New flow indicator. New pressure release plug.

Hope this holds for a while. I've got WORK to do!

Brother in law is recovering well from brain surgery yesterday.

Wife wants me to fly down to southern California this weekend to be with the family. The "hint" is pretty clear that I should have been with her from the start.

Checking on flight options.

My brother in law made it through surgery. Now they need to run tests on what they found. Definitely cancer, though. Question is what type and how far along it is.
Family is a bit shaken, but holding strong.

Brother in law is in brain surgery. 2.5 hrs into a 4 hr procedure.

His immediate family is gathered at the hospital.

This is a tough time for us.

Just found out that my brother in law has a brain tumor. Surgery tomorrow at 9am.
Wife is arriving at the airport to get to him.

Always appreciate the present moment. It's all we really have.

Enjoy the calm before the storm (aka: Pineapple Express) about to hit the Bay Area.

My next door neighbor from childhood died this week.
Fond memories of him.
A long life.
A good life.

For those that wear a FitBit on a watchband: when was the last time you cleaned it?

I'm sorry, but you may be about to experience a terrifying reality on your arm.

My friend, Andy Mullen (

), just got his op-ed published in the SF Standard: sfstandard.com/2024/01/26/san-
Andy was a staffer for Sup. Catherine Stefani. So, he had a unique position to see this act happen in real time.

New restaurant in the neighborhood. This is their version of pot stickers. Delicious!

New Hampshire GOP voters amount to less than 1/2 the population of San Francisco.

These races are horrible representations of the US electorate.
