I was not able to listen to the entire meeting today of the SF Board of Supervisors, but I've been told that acting CEO Roland Pickens WILL NOT RESTART THE DISCHARGES ON FRIDAY!!!

This is very good news.

He is awaiting word from CMS that they are extending the pause.
It is our goal to keep delaying the discharges until LHH is recertified.

My letter may have helped save a lot of lives!

I reviewed a recent set of citations the California Dept of Public Health (CDPH) gave to Laguna Honda and pulled the date of their discharge and death.
This is the plot of that data.
The mean is 21 days.
So, 50% of those that will die will probably die within 3 weeks of their discharge.

What it doesn't mention is that we already saw a 27% death rate of the most vulnerable patients that were relocated last year. 11 residents in the skilled nursing group died.

We have 400 remaining at Laguna Honda receiving skilled nursing support.

We could see over 100 people die because of this program.

It starts on Friday.

This will be a massacre if it is not stopped.

I just went to the roof to view the green comet.
Froze my ass off.
Found the comet after having to look up where it was.
Very faint now.
Then I went inside, where it is warm, and found it again looking through the window.

I really need to do my homework before engaging a project.

These are the test prints of one of the leaves.
I've got 7 variations for each of the 4 cornices.

This 48 hr print of the cornices' sides is turning out fantastic! So smooth!
Two more of these to go.
Then 3 more front sides.
Then 36 leaves.

Progress! Although, after more than 12 hrs we're about 1/4 way through. So, it's probably on track for the 54 hrs the system estimated.

I started a 55 hour 3d print last night. It will produce 2 of 3 sides of one of 4 columns in our guest bedroom.
Looks like I underestimated the total time for this project. Looks like it will take 110 hours per column (12 leaves will take 36 additional hours). So, I'm looking at 440 hours of printing.

At a minimum.

If anything fails, I have to restart the print.

I should be done by March.

This is the leaf I'll be printing and gluing to the corners. There are 7 variations on this leaf on the design.

Production has begun!
After thinking about it for 8 years, then designing it for another year, I finally started to print the cornices for the columns in our guest bedroom. The panel below will take almost 18 hrs to print. I've got 4 of them to make. And, each column has another 2 sides I'm still configuring. So, I'll be running the printer for well over 100 hours.

San Mateo County Sheriff's office says: "Suspect is in custody. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time."

Crap. The shooter is still on the lose.
He attacked in two mushroom farms.

Shit. I drove by this highway this morning.

After days of tuning the 3D printer I'm finally getting some nice results. These are parts of the cornice I designed for our guest bedroom bookcase.
