Last night San Franciscans recalled their DA, Chesa Boudin.

Don't believe anyone that tells you this was a conservative or Republican initiative.

This was a rejection of excessive, simplistic ideology.

Crime is a complex problem. There are no simple solutions.
The solutions require embracing the complexity and building coalitions across diverse stakeholders.

This DA didn't do that.

We lost faith in the simple-minded approach he was taking.

Don't over-simplify hard problems.

First day working at a standing desk! It took me about 4 years to get this whole system designed and fabricated. Finished the keyboard tray this weekend.
Next I'll design a keyboard tray that can be adjusted to every position.

From idea to reality! Just have to get the glass doors made and a glossy coat of paint.

In my experience, certain people attract trouble and problems. They seem to set themselves up for it.
It starts with believing that you are powerless and a perpetual victim. The rest piles on over the decades.
I saw this in my family and ran.

If we cannot find common ground on the solutions, we should, instead, find common ground on the problem.

And, the problem may include many parts; many problems, both big and small.

And, any component-problem may have smaller problems to debate or discuss.

There is common ground somewhere in that collection.

I think social media is also an accelerant.

People are not born as racists nor angry.

At some point they tip into these dispositions.

In 200 years we'll have a better way to raise citizens so that the culture is more optimal. In the meantime we'll bicker about the overt topics and lock into ideological corners.
