Russia’s commando units gutted by #ukraine war, U.S. leak shows
Typically, spetsnaz personnel are assigned the sorts of stealthy, high-risk missions ... for which they receive some of the Russian military’s most advanced training. But when Moscow launched its full-scale invasion last year, senior commanders eager to seize momentum and skeptical of their conventional fighters’ prowess deviated from the norm, ordering elite forces into direct combat...

I tried to maintain a twitter feed of #ukraine. Now it's just fake links and Russian supporters spouting bile.
One less thing to value over there.
"Secret trove offers rare look into Russian cyberwar ambitions"

Orgs: NTC Vulkan, Sandworm, GRU, SVR
Tools:
- Skan (allowed Russia’s attackers continuously to analyze the internet for vulnerable systems and compile them in a database for possible future attacks.)
Projects:
- Amezit (details tactics for automating the creation of massive numbers of fake social media accounts for disinformation campaigns)
If these numbers are correct, over 1000 Russian soldiers died in one day.
That doesn't happen without extraordinary incompetence in leadership and a complete lack of valuing human life.
I just learned from a friend (a Belarussian refugee) that a friend of his that is visiting from Belarus was asked to report to the recruiting station to "verify some personal data".
This is happening just after Putin was visiting Minsk.
This is also similar to how the Russian conscription process started.
"This will be very bad for Belarus."
We watched "All Quiet on the Western Front" this weekend.
In the past I might have felt sympathy for the main character: a young German boy joining the army for a glorious battle for his country.
Ultimately, he became a petty thief and had no principles.
The corollaries with the current Russian soldiers in #Ukraine are too striking to ignore.
I'm struck by the messy conditions the Russian soldiers leave behind in #Ukraine as they retreat.
It's consistently everywhere.
This reminds me of the really poor sections of the US. Communities with garbage everywhere. They've little else to do but they don't bother cleaning up their surroundings.
Theory for both: Extensive fetal alcohol syndrome.
We know Russia has a big problem with alcoholism. What if most of their mothers were constantly drunk during pregnancy?
Plausible?

An atrocity now in the works in Kherson, #Ukraine:

This is mass kidnapping by a rogue state.

Grim assessment:
"The Ukrainian military is suffering from roughly 100 killed-in-action every day, and 100 to 300 wounded-in action, said Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff."

Hey @Render, I just listened to a Peter Zeihan video about how the Ukr strategy will probably change in the near future.
1. US Intel is providing highly accurate geo-intel on commanders
2. The Excalibur projectile will provide greater range and accuracy to within 16 ft
These two attributes together will give the Ukr army an ability to execute a decapitation strategy.
