Al-Qaeda didn't give a fuck which party was in the White House. 9/11 was going to happen even if Gore had won that election. Al-Qaeda planning for 9/11 began during the Clinton admin. The single greatest intel failure was Jamie Gorlick's Wall (Google that).
It wasn't a "disaster" it was a terrorist attack.
The surviving al-Qaeda leadership today lives in Iran and are allied with Hamas.

She dismissed the report by Tenant and Black about the threat. In my opinion it was one of our pinnacle moments of misguided heuristics. She was underpowered for the gig and insufficiently curious.
