It's Weds.
I've been troubleshooting an issue since Friday.
I think I fixed it.

As great as AI is for software development, it's not perfect.

Software development jobs will still be secure for a little while.

@jurban I hadn't noticed they were terribly secure up til now. They told everyone to "learn coding" and now developers seem to be as replaceable and interchangeable in the bulk of those jobs, as paper clips.

Until AI can figure out the requirements of a project, software developers will still be needed. Their job executing will be easier, but how everything is expected to interact will still have room for interpretation, creativity and exploration.

@jurban If humans ever get good at the requirements part, let me know.

As near as I can tell, for any organization I worked for that needed that, I was the one doing it.

I haven't seen that the species is evolutionarily predisposed to it. It's all learned behavior, and thus hard won and easily lost.

@AskTheDevil
The requirements for "best practices" only have to be captured once if they can be widely shared.
