I can't think of any other outcome for Hamas than annihilation. They are merely delaying the inevitable.
So, what else are they planning to accomplish?
They have already built substantial "popular" support for the Palestinians around the world.
Mission accomplished?
IMHO their best outcome is to die with dignity, and publicly, as martyrs to their cause. Get TV cameras lined up as they are being killed doing something to gain sympathy.
The IDF better not take the bait.
