Wow. When the casualties hit 174k it will be 3X the US casualty total of the Vietnam war.
Qualifier: the US deaths were 58k. I'm still unsure if this 169k number is deaths or deaths+injured and removed from the field.

Nobody really knows the real total of Russian manpower losses. Not even the Russians know for sure. They're bad at record keeping, especially when its records of bad things.
My own estimate is well over 200,000. Just based on the number and type of Russian units destroyed, rebuilt, and then destroyed again and again.
Ukrainian counts of Russian tanks lost are twice what's confirmed by OryxSpionKop. The real number is probably somewhere between those two.
