@Alt_Human passing on that :-) .. one of the best things about Christmas is the smell and bringing life inside the house. We’ve got tree farms in the mountains.

We do live garland around a large mirror in our hallway and the fireplace mantel. Fills the house with pine scent.
Very nice.
I bought fake garland on Etsy to put around the living room window. Easier to put up and is far enough away so you can't tell it's fake.
We also do a real tree. But, it's for the ceremony of purchasing it with friends. We wear our ugly Christmas sweaters and take a lot of photos.
