What's your opinion on this trend?
- poor communication tech forces them forward
- sloppy procedures / brazen attitude
- over compensation to fix troop morale at the front line
- timely intel (sounds like a mole)

@jurban @Render my answer is its probably all of the above. It's hard to kill a general if they aren't on the front line. If they can't see what's happening through communication, they have to move forward. It looks like Ukraine has really good intel. They are on their home turf also.

So, ultimately, it's a lack of a functional SOP. I couldn't imagine the US military allowing that to happen after the first general was killed.
