Hey @Render,
If the Russian tanks used in the north now have to drive for 1200 Km to reach the Donbas (region instead of using trains), wouldn't that wear out a certain portion of them and lower the qty available to fight? Or, make them even less effective once they engage the fight?
The Russians seem stupid enough to do that instead of waiting for better logistic methods to be implemented. Seems like their effectiveness in the east should be discounted.

@jurban They aren't driving from the now vacated north. They're moving by rail. But there are very few tanks remaining from the northern group of armies.

Outside of artillery units the only northern army units to make an appearance in the east so far is one Motor Infantry brigade from the now infamous 35th CAA - now minus its tanks and the death squad brigade.

@Render
It would seem that a very effective tactic to limit Russian logistics would be to send commandos to train bridges and take them out. I'm sure the Ukrainian military have thought about it. A friend with an intimate understanding of Russian black markets said it's easy to purchase C4 in Belarus or Russia.

@jurban Russian army has entire divisions dedicated to train and rail maintenance and repair.
