There is a big difference between productivity and efficiency.
Productivity: One person does more.
Efficiency: One person gets the same job done with less.
Productivity increases effect on the company and will often only happen if the employee is motivated.
Efficiency doesn't ask any more from the employee than the baseline.
Productivity creates revenue opportunities.
Efficiency increases margin.
