Satellite imagery shows large deployment of Russian ground forces with a convoy of more than 5 kilometers (3.2 miles) moving towards Kyiv - Reuters

@WeThePeople
The scale of this makes it a little more clear just how much effort and equipment will be required to defend against this force.

@jurban

But if you look closely, you'll notice most of these are truck, not tanks, and trucks carry troops and logistical supplies

but where are the tanks?

@WeThePeople
I suspect tanks are less effective in urban warfare.

Building-by-building clearing requires boots on the ground.

@jurban

True, and your right, tanks arent great unless your going to destroy the city like they did in WWII

But there should be a good mix of APCs and truck, and when i zoom on those images, i dont see a lot of APC's either

@WeThePeople
Maybe they are pre-positioning them on the perimeter ready to move in when the heavy-weapon activities have run their course.

This is an opportunity to influence those troops to defect. Many probably don't know that this is a kinetic war and not a drill.

@jurban

Its also a hell of an oportunity to make use of Ukraines TB2 drones,....

I'd be ripping the shit out of that convoy

Follow

@WeThePeople
I wonder if they have any control of that airspace. It's often shown on current tracking maps to be under Russian control.

@jurban

Russia has failed to hold any airspace, Ukrainian drones are flying unabbated
