@HiRISE The circle next to it looks like a crater that was filled in with a different density liquid. Maybe from deep below? It cooled and shrank to reveal the original perimeter.
@jurban That could very well be the remnants of even an older crater that was filled in (sediment?) long before the adjacent crater that is geologically younger.
